What is Post Vaccination Syndrome (PVS)?
Post Vaccination Syndrome is a cluster of persistent symptoms that can develop following vaccination, often resembling those seen with Long COVID or other post-viral syndromes. Symptoms may include, but are not limited to, fatigue, brain fog, nerve pain, dizziness, and rapid heart rate. As awareness grows, more patients are being evaluated/treated in specialty clinics across the globe, and research into the condition continues to expand. Diagnostic Workup Guides, as seen below, have been developed by organizations such as React19 to assist patients, as they encounter a myriad of symptoms. We recognize that those experiencing vaccine injury struggle to get proper diagnosis and care in Canada. We thank our CVIA partners for their collective efforts in supporting injured globally.
COMMON CONDITIONS & SYMPTOMS
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome / Dysautonomia
Myocarditis / Pericarditis
Small Fiber Neuropathy / Chronic Neuropathic Symptoms
Cognitive impairment (e.g., Brain Fog, Memory Issues)
Muscle and Joint Pain Syndromes
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)
Viral Reactivations (e.g., EBV, CMV, HSV)

Once an AEFI report is completed by your provider, the local health unit, immunization authorities, and the Public Health Agency of Canada will be notified, and the occurrence will be entered into the Canadian Adverse Events Following Immunization Surveillance System (CAEFISS).
